Twin Oaks Anesthesia is pleased to offer this Spinal and Epidural workshop with emphasis on ultrasound. This newly designed course features hands-on stations for spinal and epidural placement but also includes ultrasound for the OB anesthesia provider. Hands on practice sessions include:
Actual placement of spinals and epidurals on task trainers
Ultrasound techniques for central lines
Ultrasound techniques for vascular access at the bedside
Ultrasound techniques for templating the spine for spinal and epidural placement
Foundations for neuraxial anatomy, sensory and motor distributions relating to the parturient
Local anesthetics and intrathecal opiates (1 pharmacology credit)
Technology shortcuts for anticoagulation interpretation of lab values and parturient presentation
